Press Release
Germany's EnviroChemie said it will deliver, install and commission by the end of 2012 a turnkey wastewater treatment plant for Aurubis Bulgaria. The plant will have a hydraulic capacity of up to 250 cubic metres (cu m) per hour and is planned to clean approximately 1.4 million cu m per year of surface water which is contaminated with heavy metals, EnviroChemie said in a statement on its website last week. All the surface water of the production site will be channelled into a separate wastewater system, and will be held in a collection basin for further processing. The water, which is primarily contaminated with copper, but also with other heavy metals and arsenic, will be processed using an Envochem chemical-physical plant to direct discharge quality, filtered and then released directly into the watercourse of a mountain stream.Source: SeeNews
